After School Program
Because Work Doesn't (Always) End at 3:45
Welcome to ASP
The BNS After School Program (a.k.a. "ASP") runs every school day (with a few rare exceptions) from 3:45 to 5:45 pm. This program provides an experience akin to neighborhood play: kids of all ages making up games together, playing in sandpits, building with blocks, talking about school, shooting baskets, running around, enjoying nature, and laughing with friends.
This program is directed by T.J. Stone, staffed by Virginia Tech Human Development students, and closes at 5:45 sharp. It takes place primarily on our gorgeous playground, as well as in a couple of school classrooms during rainy or very cold weather.
This is a relaxed program with lots of multi-age play.
